Swimming pools are generally divided into a few categories: indoor and outdoor pools. Besides that, there are a myriad of pool types, which could be performed at your backyard: above and in ground pools, covered and uncovered, etc. However there is one type that is rarely met – pool that is both indoor and outdoor.
Wouldn’t it be nice plunging into warm water during the cold winter day, continue swimming outdoors and then get out of water in a warm cozy room? All of that is possible with a pool that goes all the way from indoors to outdoors, especially consider the fact that they could be heated all year long. As for the sunny summer days, you will be able to use an outdoor part of your pool only.
An alternative to the pool that is both indoor and outdoor is an indoor pool with a retractable roof, which should be kept open during the summertime.
However there are some factors that will discourage you. The first reason why you might avoid pools that are both indoors and outdoors is that traditional outdoor pools are less costly and easier to install. Besides, you won’t have to worry about humidity, which becomes a big issue when maintaining an indoor pool.
There are no strict requirements in terms of shape when creating a pool that is both indoor and outdoor. There is a range of options starting from the one that goes all the way along the wall or a more unique option – swimming pool that is detached from a pool with a glass for a striking effect.
